WHOIS Lookup
Check domain registration details using the RDAP protocol.
Understanding WHOIS Data
WHOIS data includes the registrar (where the domain was purchased), registration and expiry dates, name servers (which DNS servers handle the domain), and DNSSEC status (whether DNS responses are cryptographically signed).
Privacy regulations (GDPR) have removed most personal contact information from public WHOIS records. Modern lookups show registrar info and dates but not the owner's name or address.
This tool uses RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), the ICANN-mandated replacement for the legacy WHOIS protocol. RDAP provides structured JSON data, better internationalization, and authenticated access.
To check a domain's DNS records directly, use our DNS Lookup tool. For SSL certificate details, try the SSL/TLS Test.
